Fade fundamentals / Guide 01
Beginner Mid Fade
Watch the original demonstration by Sergio Baron of Faded Culture on YouTube.
The high-level process
Build the shape.
Then refine it.
Study the head shape and decide where the fade should start and finish.
Remove bulk with a longer guard, flicking outward around the rounded part of the head.
Set soft guidelines around the head using reference points at the front, temple, middle, and back.
Work upward through progressively longer guards, keeping each section controlled.
Blend the guidelines with the lever and the corner of the blade without raising the fade too high.
Check the whole haircut, then return for small touch-ups, the lineup, and optional styling.
Before and after every cut
Keep it
clean.
Disinfect tools before and after use.
Use a clean cape or towel.
Do not razor irritated or broken skin.
Stop if there is pain or bleeding.
