Beginner Taper Fade
Watch the original demonstration from Faded Culture on YouTube.
The high-level process
Follow the fall.
Keep control.
Decide what needs to be cut and avoid adding steps that the haircut does not need.
Place a soft guideline around the temple peak with a light flicking motion.
Clean the lower section and blend upward through the clipper settings and guards.
Comb the hair in the direction it naturally lays before removing bulk.
Use clipper-over-comb conservatively, then comb and reassess after each small pass.
Refine the lineup, add texture if needed, and finish with a small amount of styling product.
Before and after every cut
Keep it
clean.
Disinfect tools before and after use.
Use a clean cape or towel.
Use fresh or sanitized razor blades.
Work slowly around the ears and skin.
